On Wednesday 7th December, new LT GOLD Master Hotel Famille hosted the Winter Little Touches ® Hoteliers Get-Together in North Shore, Blackpool.
Our Get-Togethers are open to all accommodation providers and are the opportunity for potential new members to hear first-hand from our top-drawer GOLD hosts about their experiences with the company and what it means to be a Master of their Niche.
Chris from Families and Couples Master Queen Victoria regularly refers to these events as a "booze up," and there may be the odd tipple being consumed, alongside a sublime buffet of food, but at heart they are a way of introducing like-minded people to each other to exchange tips and weigh up the pluses and minuses of life devoted to service by the seaside.
Cherry Blossom Inn, Queen Victoria and Valdene Hotel have all hosted past events and each host property often takes their peers around some of their rooms, which provides ample scope to discuss room refurbishments and which suppliers have been used to achieve different effects.
If one of our GOLD members happens to be full occupancy wise, they need to be confident that they are referring business to another establishment which befits their status as one of the hospitality elite. Nonetheless, once that trust is in place, the batting of business between LT members is so great that even Andy Murray would be jealous.
I also take to the floor for a couple of minutes maximum to make sure everyone is up to date on company developments and there are certificate presentations to any of our new Masters, which on this occasion was to Over 50s authority Brooklands. Special mention on the night went to all the encouragement Geoff and Pearl from Canberra Hotel have given me with our Travel Agency-Ticket Office-Gift Shop at the Bond/Withnell crossroads in South Shore.

Much to my surprise, even at the very first Get-Together at Cherry Blossom Inn in July 2015, they all immediately hit it off and set the current tone for what being a GOLD member is all about.

The highest concentration of GOLD properties is in St. Chad's Road, South Shore where there are now three GOLD establishments: By the Seaside, Strathdon and The Kenley. Furthermore, as a collection, the beauty is that our quality champions trail now stretches from North Shore's Queens Promenade, Bispham to Clifton Drive, South Shore.
My LT GOLD members mean so much more to me than business in its purest form. In essence, when stripped back to the bare bones they are part of an optional marketing scheme. Yet each and every one of them believes in what I am trying to achieve with Little Touches, will back me to the high hill to see that I achieve it and their enthusiasm is so tremedous that a visceral where the magic happens has taken over that way eclipses any form of numbers. They are - sometimes perhaps unknowingly - growing each others businesses and I'm more than happy to continue playing Cupid-In-Chief.
