Q&A with Fraser Bloy – Inspired Energy plc
This week we sat down with energy consultant Fraser Bloy to discover how he can assist our members with their utilities contracts.
How well do you know the hotel industry?
I was born and raised in the hotel industry. My parents owned and managed a hotel in Blackpool, so the industry was a major part of my daily life growing up and continued after I left school.
I have an HND qualification in Hotel Catering and Institutional Management and decades of experience within the hospitality sector, extending to front of house, hotel management and for a number of years I was a chef at a well-known hotel in France. To bring things up to date, I’m working towards a BA (Hons) degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Central Lancashire.
My plethora of experience has made me very passionate about the industry.
Explain your typical day as an energy consultant for Little Touches
As a trusted Little Touches representative, I visit hotels across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde to help members reduce their energy bills and consumption and tackle carbon problems, by providing a range of energy procurement and management services.
How can you help Little Touches members save money on their utility bills?
No matter the size of your hotel, saving energy can reap big rewards. Aside from reducing your carbon footprint, shrinking your property’s energy bill is an easy way to increase your profits, and I can help you do it.
However, obtaining the best prices for business requires skill. By appointing me as your specialist energy consultant, I can manage this burden by negotiating your energy and water contracts, saving you money.
Inspired is great local company that works with all the major UK utility suppliers so our clients secure supply contracts suitable for their requirements. We are independent of all suppliers, meaning we work in your best interests to secure the best deals on the market.

Why photography matters when marketing your hotel

- Most people make their decisions about holidays or business trips online, increasingly using phones and tablets to access websites
- The first impact of a website is visual - many people leave a website in less than a second, you need to grab their attention
- A dark, small looking room will put potential Guests off, as will grainy out of focus pictures
- A quick snap taken on your phone may save time but will not sell your hotel
