LT Video Faves - Omotenashi, Japanese Hospitality



Wouldn't it be great to pop to the supermarket or a bookstore and be dazzled by employees using a single low cost resource to make your day more pleasant ? Well in Japan, thanks to a phenomenon called Omotenashi it is a daily reality to find a side order of helpfulness at the checkout and a paperback preserver at the payment point. You see our friends in Japan see all industries as a prime candidate for an injection of thoughtfulness.

The fun side of detail delights



Funky Towers is located on Blackpool's promenade, halfway between the Central and South piers. Capturing kiss-me-quick playfulness in a tasteful, less intrusive way, the establishment was an obvious candidate for further seaside scrutiny.

Credits where credit is not due


Daytime and Primetime ITV










don't know about you lot, but for several years now something has been grating on me regarding ITV's closing credits. "See you next week everyone" is regularly uttered out of the mouths of key ITV talents, only for us the audience to swiftly (and inconsiderately) find ourselves in a blackout. The same white font, on the same black background for the majority of ITV's output. The only regular exception to "one-size depresses all" is the news, where they are embossed over a wide shot of the presenters.

Our second and much anticipated Attention To Detail Superstar is Breck Apartments. Formed in 2012, with an official opening in March 2013, this collection of 12 luxury self-catering apartments is a breath of fresh accommodation air a short distance from the heart of Blackpool.
